Curtain wall manufacturer and glazing contractor specializing in low to midrise commercial and industrial construction in search of Project Manager to manage all aspects of exterior facade construction.

Project Managers are to assume “Ownership” and “Visibility” of projects within the company. The Project Manager will be responsible for the expeditious flow of the contract as it moves through the various departments; Estimating, Contracts Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, and eventual delivery to the field.

The ultimate responsibility will be to maximize the efficiency and profit of the project by purchasing materials under budget, offering value engineered options, tracking project schedule and oversee the disbursement of materials and men to a particular jobsite.

 

-- Submit and track material samples and product data for architectural approval

-- Oversee production of shop drawings for architectural review and approval

-- Prepare and track material orders

-- Oversee production of part drawings for material fabrication

-- Coordinate site requirements and adjacent construction with customers

-- Schedule deliveries of manpower, materials, and equipment to jobsites

-- Prepare estimates and implement changes required due to owner/architect/general contractor requirements

-- Track shop and field labor production, modify methodology and innovate as required to meet budgets and targets

-- Address punch lists and coordinate job close-out

-- Provide documentation for all aspects of management duties

-- Exercise effective communication both internal and external

-- CAD experience

-- Proficient in reading construction drawings and specifications

-- Ability to effectively manage personnel, materials, and equipment

-- Technically proficient and highly motivated individual

-- Must be able to analyze and prioritize work according to importance

-- Ability to work with high level of precision and efficiency

-- Excellent communicator in both oral and written formats

-- Ability to work well with all members of supply and construction team

-- Proven effectiveness in managing multiple monumental projects

-- Ability to effectively separate and delegate tasks to junior staff

-- Flexibility in approach to work – ability to “think out of the box”

 

-- BS in Engineering / Construction Management, or equivalent related field or management experience

-- AutoCAD knowledge

-- 5 years experience as Project Manager in contract glazing preferred

-- High proficiency with MS Office – Excel and Word platforms

-- Experienced with glass, curtainwall, metal panels, louvers, ornamentation –exterior façade materials is preferred

-- Skilled with system application engineering
