Architectural Sales Rep - Texas (Remote)

Client is a specialty manufacturer of Curtainwall, Windows and Storefront systems and have been in business for over 35 years

Summary

Promote the company’s products and services to subcontractors, contractors and prospective building owners

Responsibilities

Develop a territorial plan in conjunction with the Regional Sales Manager to cover the market efficiently and effectively, creating a presence at the architectural, owner and contractor/subcontractor level with our products and services. Annual sales goals and promotional goals will be included in this territorial plan

Build partnering relationships with the customer or influencer responsible for the decision making process to drive the sales of the company. Manage ongoing sales process, develops relationships, responds to and anticipates customer needs. Actively listens, probes and identifies concerns. Understands the customers' business and speaks their language. Demonstrates financial and business acumen to develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment

Seek out, target and initiate contact with prospective customers and develop a network of contacts. Understand and leverage sales process checkpoints as well as demonstrate evidence of gaining small trial closes and commitments

Technical promotion to architects by providing lunch and learn AIA credited presentations and product selection guidance for projects in the design phase

Represent company at local and regional trade shows

Support Six Sigma/Lean and the continuous improvement process

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred; related industry sales experience or equivalent combination of education and industry experience. Architectural degree with building envelope experience is a plus

Frequent travel requirements within the territory, to trade shows and the company offices. The noise levels in the work environment are usually moderate. The candidate will be expected to operate in an office and a commercial construction environment. Jobsite visits will be expected
